Varied blends and winemaking techniques make the three ranges unique. Each wine has its own specific style, appealing both to amateurs for their flexibility and fruit, and to specialists for their complexity. Richard Maby has two passions in life, wine and music, which are expressed in the names of his great wines, colourfully evoking opera and lyric music.

Terroir and typicity

Domaine Maby, located in Tavel and Lirac, has soils which are mainly covered by rounded pebbles, torn from the Alps by the Rhone river during the Prehistoric period. During the day, these pebbles store up the heat of the sun, restoring it to the soils once night has fallen, thus accompanying the grapes towards optimal ripeness.

Sustainable farming practices reveal the terroir in its natural state, through the region’s traditional grape varieties (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Clairette…), in all soil and exposure variations. At each stage of development, from vine to winery, rigour and respect for terroir guides the hand of our teams. Through precision and determination, Domaine Maby always strives towards perfectly balanced wines, thus becoming a reference in the region. The result is precise, concentrated and supple wines which fully express the character of their terroir.
